JUST DON'T FEEL WELL?
JUST DON’T FEEL WELL?
This time of year is the season of allergies. Whether its hay fever, hives, asthma, headaches/Migraines. All these conditions can be affected by the seasonal conditions.
These conditions raise their ugly head by producing symptoms and your reaction to these symptoms are often referred to as allergic reactions.
You may have resorted to taking Anti histamines to combat these unwanted symptoms. It may appear that they have gone away but all they do is in effect put a plaster over them. Therefore, just masking them and not treating them.
In Homeopathy we look at these symptoms as the body waving a red flag, saying I am out of balance so I am throwing off these symptoms to give you a clue as to where my body is unbalanced. We then prescribe the nearest remedy that matches those symptoms.
Could it be Histamine intolerance?
During an allergic reaction the body is producing more histamine and we then antagonise these histamines by eating the wrong food.
Histamine is naturally occurring in most foods that we eat. When eating these food groups we antagonise the allergic symptoms. Therefore creating an exasperation of symptoms.
These foods include:
Fermented alcoholic beverages, especially wine, champagne and beer
Fermented foods: sauerkraut, vinegar, soy sauce, kefir, yogurt, kombucha, etc
Vinegar-containing foods: pickles, mayonnaise, olives
Cured meats: bacon, salami, pepperoni, luncheon meats and hot dogs
Soured foods: sour cream, sour milk, buttermilk, soured bread, etc
Dried fruit: apricots, prunes, dates, figs, raisins
Most citrus fruits
Aged cheese including goat cheese
Nuts: walnuts, cashews, and peanuts
Vegetables: avocados, eggplant, spinach, and tomatoes
Smoked fish and certain species of fish: mackerel, mahi-mahi, tuna, anchovies, sardines
If you have the following symptoms consider the possibility of Histamine intolerance.
Headaches/migraines
Difficulty falling asleep, easily arousal
Hypertension
Vertigo or dizziness
Arrhythmia, or accelerated heart rate
Difficulty regulating body temperature
Anxiety
Nausea, vomiting
Abdominal cramps

Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss the possibilities of Histamine intolerance. (often mistaken for gluten intolerance)
The following testimony is written by a patient I treated for Histamine intolerance
"I would highly recommend Helen for Homeopathy"
"I am really grateful to you, dear Helen, for taking good care of me and prescribing the right medicine: My immunity has been restored; bouts of allergy are now kept at bare minimum and quite under control. I really feel great, and no words can express the degree of my gratitude and thankfulness to you." SH, Swindon
